Anning faced overwhelming criticism over his tweets on Friday including one that said, "Does anyone still dispute the link between Muslim immigration and violence?" "The real cause of the bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place," he said a day after the attacks in a written statement.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison called Anning’s comments “appalling,” but two Australians wanted to do more. Sydney doctor Kate Ahmad and Melbourne author Harris Sultan began separate petitions on Change.org -- nearly an hour apart -- calling for the removal of Anning from Parliament.

His argument is partially correct, mass immigration is a source of conflict every time. Nobody wants senseless violence. He could have worded it differently to be clearer, but he should also be allowed to voice his opinion.

I am not agreeing or disagreeing with his letter to parliament. However free speech he is entitled too. But Most importantly most people probably didn't even read his letter just sheepishly listening to media and their talking points. Suiting MMEDIA narrative just fine..
1) And everyone who signed the petition and getting so hateful towards him, are doing exactly what the shooter said he wanted. Which people would know if they read his manifesto, that the media is telling people not to read. So they can lie to the people about shooter's motives.
