In the four years since the 2015 election, nearly 13,000 people have died of opioid overdoses. Advocates say the government is long overdue to declare the issue a national public health emergency.

He’s all too familiar with the deadly toll of fentanyl, which is often laced into street drugs.

“They're just trying to survive each day. Every minute, every hour, every day. They probably have no idea who's running,” Harry said.

'End the stigma of drug addiction' Decriminalize all illegal drug possession? Safe injection sites? Enabling drug abuse saves zero lives. Anyone that thinks these are good ideas, is a complete moron.
