National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation ‘deeply concerned’ with decision to hire Netherlands-based organization for engagement process for issues surrounding possible gravesites near former residential schools

The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation says there are many problems with a $2-million contract Ottawa signed with an international group to give advice on unmarked graves.

Last week, the commission released a copy of the technical agreement it had signed with the government in January, confirming the final report will be due to the federal government by mid-June, with officials allowed to comment on drafts. Eugene Arcand, who sits as a member of its survivors circle, says he cannot understand why Ottawa would look to an international group that lacks knowledge of the residential school system and “cultural competency” needed for such sensitive discussions.

How is the Media going to backtrack here. It’s all about the money $$$💰💰💰💰😰 for them & the supposedly victims.

recovered body count holding steady at zero

Liberal contracts should be halted until an ethics review can be done! Second thing is the Canadian gov should be just paying the bill and the indigenous peoples should be making the decisions!

Shhhhh you’ll ruin the grift!

It’s theft from taxpayers to perpetuate the myth of genocide. The monetization of being a victim

Probably JustinTrudeau's cousin this time.

Why is ottawa paying this? They hired the catholic church to manage it, its the catholic churches problem.

Dig up or shut up.

A neutral party should be involved we all want the truth

Typical government bureaucratic short sightedness. Trudeau with all his conciliatory words should have veto such scheme. Incompetence is demonstrated once again.

ThankYouStephanie …keeping it real

of course why wouldnt Crown work with National Centre on something so sensitive

Hello, good bye, starts EPL (English Premier League) I took from poetry exemption They playing there a soccer game They hired, paying full attention

Another self-flagellation boondoggle. The TARC costs tens of millions, only to miss the “unmarked graves” and now we have more money being spent pointlessly.
