Whatever he’s telling them, they’re obviously buying in. Make it two weeks, two thrilling overtime victories.A week after a stunning come-from-behind win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the Redblacks pulled off more heroics Sunday in Calgary, beating the Stampeders 43-41 in a back-and-forth slugfest. This time, it came down to a three-yard run around right end by Ante Milanovic-Litre and a successful two-point convert completion to Nate Behar in overtime. Game over.

Once again, the Redblacks were led by quarterback Dustin Crum, starting his second CFL game. He completed 23-of-29 passes for 257 yards, with two touchdown tosses, and also rushed nine times for 63 yards. Devonte Williams carried the ball 10 times for 57 yards, while Milanovic-Litre had seven carries for 32 yards and two touchdowns.

After shutting Calgary down to open the game, Ottawa put together a nice opening drive, which included a 19-yard run by Milanovic-Litre and a leaping 15-yard catch by Jaelon Acklin, settling for a 33-yard field goal by Lewis Ward. The Stampeders made another huge mistake when an attempted handoff by Maier to running back Dedrick Mills fell to the ground and was scooped up by Lorenzo Mauldin IV in Calgary territory. A 28-yard run by Crum got the ball to the three-yard line. On the next play, Milanovic-Litre manoeuvred his way through a nice gap to the right side of centre to score a touchdown. It was 17-6.Article content

A third-quarter Tommy Stevens QB sneak from one yard out made it 25-20, with the two-point convert attempt failing.
