“Our client is still traumatized by the assault. They look forward to getting past this incident and return to work with the many colleagues who welcomed them and treated them respectfully,” the lawyer said. A live issue if the case reaches trial will be if the Crown can prove bodily harm beyond a reasonable doubt. If the case gets to trial, medical reports — including photos taken after the alleged assault — will be examined in court.
