The finishing touch came from Will Gerrior, who tipped the puck past shell-shocked Petes goaltender Michael Simpson with 2:08 left.

“Just a lot of emotions,” said defenceman Jack Matier, who was 20 minutes away from the end of his junior career. They started backing up and coughing up the puck, allowing the 67’s to take the game to them. Panic set in and the 67’s took advantage. The Petes are suddenly feeling the heat of having had the series in their hands and now needing to win at home or risk returning to Ottawa once again.The Petes built up a 2-0 first period lead on goals from Tucker Robertson and Carter Lockhart against 67’s goaltender Max Donoso.
