This bill does nothing but ban most firearms in common use in this country by those that never were the problem, Trudeau is lying through his teeth. Scrap the ENTIRE bill, full stop.
It's not just hunters ,some people are have have safe fun shooting targets ect also. Why are we not targeting the criminals and gangs / smugglers.?

Better than nothing, but there is NO evidence that any bans will improve public safety. 'Assault' & handgun bans simply waste valuable tax dollars that could be used to help us through these tough times. Withdraw C21. Trust science, not irrational fears.
All firearms that were non-restricted prior to May 2020 are hunting firearms. People used them to hunt.
I don't own guns myself, but I have shot some 22s way back. If the purpose is to fight gun violence, why not make the punishment for gun related crimes more sever, and the punishment for having an illegal/smuggled handgun from the states so high, the risk outweighs the reward.
Attacking the hunting and sport shooting communities,while doing virtually nothing to control criminal misuse of firearms, is just pure political theater by a govt bent on dividing urban and rural Canadians.
Thank god i will be able to keep my AR for hunting.

The only people who support more gun control are those who know nothing about our current laws.
Of course there is also unanimous support from Liberal MPs to not disarm hunters too.
Long guns and shotguns outside of city limits. Nothing else.
