Ford said he is concerned about the pressure that increased demand for testing is putting on hospitals, which run many of the centres

The premier said he drove by a testing centre in Brampton, Ont., on Tuesday and saw the long line of people waiting to be tested for the novel coronavirus.Hours-long waits were reported Tuesday at testing centres in Toronto, Ottawa, and London, Ont. Health Minister Christine Elliott suggested one of the main reasons for the increased demand for testing was the reopening of schools.

On Monday, Ford warned that Ontario’s rising virus rates could force the province to move some regions back into lockdown. “It’s pretty frightening that here we are on the cusp of wave two and the government hasn’t learned its lessons when it comes to the faultiness of their wave one response,” she said.

Merrilee Fullerton said the commission has begun to talk to senior officials in her ministry but stressed they are independent from the government.

What a joke.. end this BULLSHIT POLITICAL pandemic and let's get back to NORMALCY

Wasn't he saying this last April - when he blamed everything on the health units?

By then it will be too late according to the tamster.

RobertFife word is the tests we're using are overly sensitive and ID a lot of false positives, and amounts of virus that are not enough to indicate illness or the ability to make anyone else sick. 'cases' do not mean people who are sick or even contagious

RobertFife Sure, let's drag this out as long as possible. It's not like anything's at stake

RobertFife Atta boy. On top of the file...what, month six now?

RobertFife Days would be more appropriate! Weeks? We will be in second wave full blown by then.

RobertFife 🤨

RobertFife Trudeau’s communist country blown wide open.....

weeee don tttt haveeeee weeksssss....act now

What’s the address Dougie? 😂😂😂

My wife had to wait in line for over an hour and a half just to book an appt for tomorrow. They told us to come 40 minutes early. 3 days we are off work and today was the first day of class for some of her students.

3 hours in line with 3 kids on Sat but the results came back in 16 hours

IN THE COMING WEEKS! We kinda need to know now.

In the coming weeks What, did the pandemic sneak up on them or something? Oops forgot about it?

How inept is this govt, seriously? They “didn’t anticipate the increase need for testing” in the wake of schools reopening? Doesn’t take a genius to figure that out Mr. Ford. And “now” you’re on it? Of course, always reacting and never planning. VoteFordOut2022

Weeks?

In the coming weeks... when the waits will be three times as long and cases skyrocketing. 🤷🏽‍♀️

‘in the coming weeks....’

Stop testing ppl whom have no symptoms! FFS

Ford warns of further shutdowns as new COVID-19 infections spike to levels not seen since JunePremier Doug Ford is warning that “every option is on the table” amid an alarming spike in COVID-19 infections, “including further shutdowns.” Masks dont work (1) 'Infections?' Please, define more specifically. It is SARS2-CoV INFECTION not COVID-19 infection. COVID-19 is the disease process not everyone gets or its severity varies. What is the morbidity & mortality. Seek protection for those risk, leave others alone. I`m wondering why we have to wear a mask in any closed space( even in our own buildings), and they don`t.

Politics Briefing: Trudeau says he will speak to opposition before Throne SpeechAlso: Ontario, Quebec watching COVID-19 case counts rise 'Mr. Trudeau was non-committal when asked about whether he was listening to opposition input' This just about sums it up. It is very generous of him to allow the Opposition to meet with him... Prob the day before. He's a better man than I. I might talk to the Greens and NDP to shore up support, but the conservatives are a despicable, Gollum-like lot. I wouldn't give them the time of day.
