provincial health officials listed one deceased patient as being between the ages of 20 and 39. Thirty-one other Ontario patients who have died were between the ages of 40 and 59, 165 patients were between the ages of 60 and 79 and 387 patients were 80 years of age or older.Of all COVID-19 deaths in the province, 249 of them were among residents of long-term care homes.
Ontario’s epidemiologists are slated to release updated models forecasting the spread of COVID-19 on Monday afternoon.
Fear tactics to scare people into staying inside...why is it they say for eg..10 000 cases but 5000 recovered...shouldn't it be 5000 cases then ?....testing more and cases are up imagine that lol...never shut down properly to begin with
Ok so clearly Ontario does not have a handle on this and needs to shut down.
So what is the metric for flattening the curve? Testing is way up so therefore confirmed numbers are up. Hospitalizations dropping from 829 a few days ago to 802 today. Numbers of people on ventilators has dropped. We are averaging about 275 a day of persons recovering.
Means nothing without death rate or comorbidity
Are you also going to mention the increase in testing, which would also drive higher results of new confirmed cases?
People are taking this shit as a joke. Old, young, new born. Stay home!!!
Let me rewrite your headline for you 'As more tests happen, number of cases will increase, but percentage either remains stable or falls. Percentage of recovery increases ' there you go. Much better 😌
Once again FEAR MONGERING 'Single Day High' - meanwhile hospitalizations DROPPED by 7, ICU on ventilators dropped and, I would bet we'll see majority of those new cases are from LTC homes. Even the prov admits the modelling coming today is encouraging...
