Ontario premier reveals three-step reopening plan starting with outdoor activities, sources say

Multiple sources have confirmed some outdoor amenities, such as golf courses and tennis courts, will be allowed to reopen on May 22.Sources said the first stage of the economic reopening is estimated to begin in mid-June, or two weeks after 60 per cent of eligible adults received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Sources said allowing retailers to reopen for indoor shopping was the source of intense debate among cabinet ministers. The second step could begin in July, sources said, or two weeks after higher vaccination rates have been achieved. The final step, estimated to start in August, would largely see life return to normal for the first time since March 2020 with personal fitness, indoor gatherings and indoor events allowed to return.

So without saying it, they’ve extended the lockdown until step one which will “likely” start on June 14th OR until 60% of adults have had their first dose for 2 weeks. Step 1 lasts 21 days which is July 5th.........🤦🏼‍♂️

Ok so personal care in July? They have never been a high source. Suggest hair salons all move outside..how about pedicure in the park? Crazy..

Step 1: Ignore the other 2 steps as we are never getting there.

Reopen schools, only when safe & only IN-PERSON. In-person superiority evidence is based on decades of practice not just the last 15 months. Online was used sparingly,on purpose, as a back-up only (distance, hospital, etc) It doesn't match in-person for mental health and quality.
