The province’s healthcare system is now at a point at which it may not be able to handle much more than 200 or 300 additional COVID patients in intensive care without considering “other means” to create capacity like invoking the triage protocol, a top official at Ontario Health is warning.

The province’s healthcare system is now at a point at which it may not be able to handle much more than 200 or 300 additional COVID patients in intensive care without considering “other means” to create capacity such as not offering the oldest and sickest patients all care available, a top official at Ontario Health is warning.

There was a total of 619 patients with COVID-19 in Ontario’s intensive care units as of Monday morning, up from 494 at this point last week. But he conceded that “there is a limit” to the measures that can conceivably be done to increase capacity.

Maybe Ontario should of fixed it’s awful healthcare system that’s been broken for years regular flu always overburden the system but nothing ever down now we pay by lockdown economy and regular health at risk

HCQ works!make it over the counters! Give us an option other than untested vaccines!!

a province of 13 million ppl and it gets overwhelmed with 900 ICU patients across the whole province? What if this was non-covid times and we had a mass tragedy affecting thousands of ppl? How would the system cope? Why r field hospitals being built if we can't staff?

Can you please clarify that half of the people in the ICU now are not caused by COVID-19 but instead because of the serious side effect of vaccines?this is a man-made disaster!! I hope it’s not true!

Just remember... You can’t be pro life AND anti-vax.

Thanks to Sflecce , the spread of the virus has been maintained with everything closed but the schools being kept open.... the most asymptomatic spread happens with kids and our politicians need schooling on that... fordnation cafreeland JustinTrudeau JohnTory
