Taking aim at the skyrocketing cost and tight supply of housing, the Ontario Liberals would allow owners of two-storey houses to turn them into three apartments and bring back rent control if elected June 2.

The plan released Monday is the last major plank in the party’s platform and and pledges to build 1.5 million more homes in the next decade with the help of a new financing agency called the Ontario Home Building Corporation for first-time buyers.

“It’s getting harder and harder for people to live in neighbourhoods they grew up in,” Liberal Leadersaid, estimating the plan would double the pace of homebuilding by targeting “poorly used strip malls, land held for speculation and available government properties” as sites.

Lots of caveats. Does his class size cap include requisite costs to build more classrooms? Does he mention how he will come up with 10,000 classrooms? Seems to be pie in the sky to be completed within four years. Which means his balancing the budget promise is also not possible.

What’s the incentive to be a landlord when you’re trying to demonize them on the other hand? Rent controls don’t work. The fact that we don’t have enough apartments is proof.

Why would anyone trust these charlatans?

Quiet day ahead on the Ontario election campaign trailThe first Sunday of the Ontario election campaign is expected to be a quiet one on the trail. Guys rate my nude photos) Del Duca needs a personal day after yesterday's unscientific announcement he'll mandate the one year old covid vaccine for 4-12 year olds!! Probably cost him the election. Considering the vax does not prevent transmission esp two doses! And kids it's basically a cold! onpoli Doug Ford's in Timmins to make an unintelligible announcement. Or he mistakenly mistook the towns name as Timmy's, not Timmins!
