The Anishinabek Nation said Thursday it is disappointed that Ottawa is pushing back against Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's order that Enbridge Inc. stop operating the cross-border pipeline next week.
"It is upsetting to see that the government of Canada will pick and choose which treaties to uphold based on convenience and profit," Hare said in a statement. There was little disagreement over the importance of the pipeline, which ferries Alberta crude and natural gas through Michigan and beneath the Great Lakes waterway known as the Straits of Mackinac to refineries in Sarnia, Ont. and beyond.
"This Liberal government has failed to work effectively with the U.S. administration, and they failed to stand up for the Canadian energy supply chain. They don't seem to care," O'Toole said. "We have been clear from the start -- we would leave no stone unturned in defending Canada's energy security," O'Regan said.
"The protection of the environment of the Great Lakes is of vital importance; I don't think anybody in the House disagrees with that," O'Regan said.
This is technique to increase the gas price because of monopoly

Ontario and Quebec: fuck pipelines, fuck Alberta Oil! Get new jobs! Oil is evil! Yay environment! **Line 5 gets shutdown: job losses, no fuel for cars, trucks and planes. Cost of everything goes up. Ontario and Quebec: pipelines and oil are national concerns to defend.
