More than 600 nurses around the world have died from COVID-19 and approximately 230,000 health-care workers have contracted the virus, according to the International Council of Nurses.

Catton continued that, without this data, it will be impossible to know the “true cost” of COVID-19 and it will hinder efforts to respond to other pandemics in the future.

The ICN’s estimation of more than 600 deaths among nurses and more than 230,000 infections came from data from national nurses associations, official figures, and media reports from a “limited number of countries.”more than 260 COVID-19 deaths among nurses and 90,000 infections worldwide. “Nurses and other staff are at great personal risk, and so are the patients they care for,” the press release stated.

Because of this lack of data, the ICN said that a number of questions concerning infections among health-care workers still can’t be answered. What is contributing to the range in infection rates among health-care workers between countries? For example, cases are less than 1 per cent in Singapore, but 30 per cent in Ireland. Why is there a higher death rate for nurses in Latin American countries?

Not even close. But nice try. Can think of many many jobs far more dangerous. Also, how many of those 600 caught the virus outside of work? It's only a dangerous job if you get it while working. There's grey matter between your ears. Let's use it ok?

And Toronto ontarionurses working in the ER are still being denied serial testing by the hospitals. Too cheap

They do great work. And I truly love em all. But that's not even half of the deaths Canadian workers face every year.

How about the rest of us front line health workers Who work directly with Covid-19 patients? Or do only nurses count? HSA

Bunch of mindless sheep

Video: How a shift away from globalization after COVID-19 could leave Canada behindNew York Times columnist and political commentator David Brooks discusses how politics and society will be different after the coronavirus pandemic during a conversation with Rudyard Griffiths of the Munk Debates. This guy is also ensuring that “All Canadians Get Left Behind”. Good riddance Much agree as globalization being the free movements of people, goods and services have lifted so many out of poverty and not only increased the size of the middle class but their individual wealth. Enabled many to make money sitting at home spouting conspiracy crap on YouTube..
