Candace Hrdlicka said RCMP were not identifying the victim “at this time” but did not provide a reason. The major crimes unit has taken over the investigation and charged Maskwacis resident Shayden Trey Rain, 21, with second-degree murder. Police are appealing for witnesses in the area at the time of the shooting.
