On 9/11's anniversary, has Islamist terrorism ceased to be an issue in Canada? September11

The group had carried out paramilitary training in rural Ontario and aimed to kill the prime minister, blow up the Parliament buildings and a CSIS office and take MPs hostage.Article content

As ISIS built its so-called caliphate in Syria and Iraq, hundreds of Canadians left to fight with the brutal group. Then in June a man in London, Ont., allegedly motivated by hatred of Muslims pulled his pickup truck onto a sidewalk and ran over a Muslim family, killing four of them.

It will be the biggest issue for the world for the next 100 years. So, no.

Yes, now we just need to deal with American terrorism.

Only the naive would assume that Islamist terrorism is no longer an issue. Now with the Taliban in control of Afghanistan including its cooperation with Pakistan, it's only a matter of time before more attacks.

A lot of words adding up to... white nationalism is our biggest threat. Still wrong. Our biggest threat is billionaires and the toadies who service their every psychopathic ego driven want. This planet is dying, caused by capitalists (terrorists) who kill by proxy.

No, They are trumpsupporters instead now.

“After what happened in Afghanistan last month, there’s been a lot of praise (among white supremacists) toward the Taliban,” he said. “‘Look what these guys are able to accomplish. How come we can’t do the same with our movement?’”

It never was an issue. More people died from home grown terrorism than from external sources.

This is infuriating. This article quotes the anti-hate network and NCCM, two organizations that have questionable ethics. They refuse to condemn Islamist Antisemitism, yet they cry about Islamophobia. Maybe use this time to remember the victims. Not to be woke about discrimination. The strangers who fell in love when 9/11 diverted their flightTwenty years ago, a couple fell in love after their flight was diverted to Gander, N.L. after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. I heard about them when I listened to the soundtrack to 'Come From Away'. I didn't know you could make a play from something so stressful, but trust Newfoundlanders to do it, and do it well. If you love the music of Newfoundland, it is really worth a listen. Brought tears to my eyes What a Great story!💕
