Approx. 500 plants discovered in recent police raid

Police in Grimsby, UK have discovered an illicit cannabis grow of approximately 500 plants hidden in plain sight in a former bank located in the center of town.

Six people were arrested in relation to the grow, with two appearing in court on Thursday. Both are charged with production of cannabis, with one also facing a charge of obstructing police in the execution of duty. The accused were refused bail and remanded into custody. This is not the first time a cannabis grow has been found in an empty Grimsby bank. Last month, a man was sentenced to over a decade in jail after a cannabis grow was discovered in a former Barclays Bank containing 1170 viable plants.
