Mayor John Tory says the city is continuing to work out the 'logistics' of vaccine pop-up clinics as the sites continue to attract long lineups and demand that often exceeds available supply.

Mayor John Tory says the city is continuing to work out the "logistics" of vaccine pop-up clinics as the sites continue to attract long lineups and demand that often exceeds available supply.

Earlier this week, people camped out overnight outside a pop-up clinic at Parkway Forest Community Centre near Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue. “Not everyone can travel to an immunization clinic and some people don’t have a computer and have difficulty booking appointments online,” the spokesperson said. “Mobile clinics, brought into people’s neighbourhoods that allow people to walk in to book an appointment, are the most accessible to the highest need populations. This includes some seniors, non-English speaking groups and those without computers.

"What you get is lineups from people. And in a way, it's a good thing, the lineup, because it indicates a keen interest. As time goes on, we are going to find ways to have these as well organized as say the city clinics have been because they are on the provincial registration system. You have an appointment, you don't have to wait.""At the moment I think it is more important that we get the vaccines in the arms," he added.

If only we could engage and pay a General to help us work these obvious challenges out effectively. Oh well.

Despite the alarming rates of diabetes, obesity, heart attacks and suicides - the general decline of human health in general - you'd never see lines this long to get into a gym or health food store.

Should go in work places (groceries)

So with 395k doses of Pfizer coming to Ontario per week but no more Astra and delayed Moderna, can no one see thar at 125k injections a day, this is not quite even 4 days a week of supply?

Long lines means there is no vaccine hesitancy, Ontarians are taking their best effort and tolerating inconvenience to vaccinate. However, province should do their part to improve the logistics to reduce wait times.

Stop 🛑 with this pop up clinics. Unless you have over supply of vaccines 💉 wat this pop up clinics does is give hope n dash. Make your vaccine roll out more stable. Give the public knowledge on how much each section of the GTA, Ontario of vaccines getting from the federal. Gov.
