Nova Scotia set to be first in North America with presumed consent for organ donationsUnder the Human Organ and Tissue Donation Act, all people in Nova Scotia would be considered potential organ donors unless they opt out About time. This should be national. You can't expect free healthcare and allow the costs of waiting for organ donations when thousands of organs are destroyed needlessly. I wouldn't allow anyone to opt out unless they opt out of the provincial healthcare system

N.S. first in North America to adopt presumed consent for organ donations under new legislationUnder the legislation, families will continue to be consulted about their loved ones’ wishes regarding organ or tissue donation Far better to let a market for our organs to develop. Letting the state harvest my organs if I forget to say something is immoral. The day you can assure me that my organs aren’t saving the life of some douchebag bank president, is the day you can have them. Otherwise hands off. I want to be cremated as soon as my body gets cold. I’m an organ donor and it is a choice I made. I think that organ donation is a good thing. At the same time I do not like this law. This law doesn’t pass the smell test & I’m not okay with the state harvesting organs. This law can easily be abused & misused.
