Talking about 1,000 people. These people pay rent. Their predicament is beyond imagination. The same landlord who runs the other near-by building whose occupants are still in trouble.
I know how it feels to have no power sometimes, so I am sympathetic. I hope for all the families, and especially the young and elderly who may be FREEZING right now... hoping it comes back on soon

Time for building owner to invest in a gas fired emergency generator and provide emergency back up power to HVAC system and domestic water pumps. Probably have a generator but only large enough to keep the elevators operational. Rough I’d think the residents health and safety is more important at the moment.
