Nickelback rolls into the Saddledome with a friendly vibe, stadium-ready anthems

During a low-key performance, he showed some fine vocal chops on the ballad First Taste of Gone and a cover of the Goo Goo Dolls’ 1998 hit Iris, which became an iPhone-waving sing-along. If anything, his presence suggested the line between mainstream hard-rock and mainstream bro-country is becoming more and more blurred.
