Adam: Why Ottawans should care about secret police board meetingsYou’d think, with all the controversy surrounding Ottawa\u0027s police, that its oversight body wouldn\u0027t engage in such shenanigans. Maybe if they stopped turning them into a clown show we wouldn't have to hold secret meetings to actually get stuff done. Is the TL/DR version of why we should be concerned because they're secret? The Horizon misinformation group is not interested in any public engagement. They have reduced public participation to name-calling and flute recitals. Secret meetings are not good, but may be the only way they can do business.

How B.C. police forces are preparing for new drug decriminalization lawPeople in possession of 2.5 grams or less of fentanyl, heroin, morphine, crack and powder cocaine, methamphetamine or MDMA cannot be arrested or have their drugs seized once the law kicks in Jan. 31. If they are going to make it non criminal, then they need to license proper locations where it is legal to use. Just like they do with the most commonly used drug in this country- Alcohol. You can’t drink Alcohol where children play, and children are not allowed into bars. It takes less than that of fentyl to kill someone how sad is this? Where are drug treatment programs Great thinking. Make it legal and people will stop doing it! The stoopidness of society never fails to amaze me. Maybe if we gave the drugs away for free, drug use will stop completely! Or put warning labels on the drugs like we did with cigarettes.
