Life in Canada is off to a sweet start for a Ukrainian baker who has found a new home for her creations in Winnipeg.

While Tokar's parents are safe elsewhere in Europe, she says she prays for her grandparents who stayed in Kherson, which has experienced heavy damage due to shelling."I really want them to really be proud of me, so that's why when I have a job I called them and my grandparents really cried."

The Butter Tart Lady owner Michelle Wierda says she instantly knew when she saw Ukrainian newcomer Tokar's work on Facebook that she wanted the young baker to come in for an interview. Of these treats is pampushky, a Ukrainian garlic bread that is traditionally served with borscht, Tokar explained. As they look toward to the future, the two women are excited for their partnership.

That is a good news story. A displaced person with a good work ethic contributing to society. That is what makes Canada great.

She should bake swastikas to honor her homeland

The only reason she is here, NATO being blackmailed by the pedophile government of Bidens and the Epstien videos. of capitalist oligarcha and ruling class of Europe, as far as i am concerned.

Ukrainians are the most wonderful people on the planet. If only all of us cherished Nazis the world would be a nicer place. Remember when Ukrainians wouldn't let black residents on the trains leaving the country? Wonderful, wonderful people.

OH MY GOD WHO CARES?

She's cute, glad she's here but Zelenskyy is still a warmonger and Canada shouldn't be funding him. DiplomacyNow

She speak Russian or Nazi.? There are only 2 kinds of ukraines.

The secret to Canadas heart? Baked goods and pampushky
