1 in 4 people over the age of 80 in Canada that get COVID-19 die. I guess if you are not a senior citizen or otherwise at risk, and don’t think about anyone other than yourself, you might view the threat as exaggerated.
On a virus that is statistically only dangerous to the very old or people with pre-existing conditions, the officials made it sound like we were all going to die and the sky was falling. So it sounds like 1/4 of Canadians are smarter than average, which makes sense.
