It's back to the future as NASA astronauts launch again from the U.S. -- aboard a retro-style 'Right Stuff' capsule. But make no mistake: This is not your father's -- or grandfather's -- capsule.

This April 2020 photo made available by SpaceX shows the company's Crew Dragon spacecraft undergoing final processing at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla,, in preparation for the May 27, 2020, Demo-2 launch with NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley to the International Space Station for NASA's Commercial Crew Program. CAPE CANAVERAL, FLA. -- It's back to the future as NASA astronauts launch again from the U.S. -- aboard a retro-style "Right Stuff" capsule.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket -- with the crew capsule atop -- will soar from the same pad used for both of those earlier missions. There was no need for another flying machine like the shuttle, which was built to haul hefty satellites and space station parts, said retired NASA manager Steve Payne. SpaceX based its crew capsule on its long-running reusable cargo capsule, also named Dragon and ending space station missions with old-fashioned splashdowns.

Although the full automated Dragon has four seats lined up in a row, only the centre two will be occupied for this especially risky test flight. A test dummy soloed on last year's Dragon crew capsule debut.

NASA is looking for participants to isolate in a Russian lab for 8 monthsNASA is seeking U.S. citizens for an eight-month study on social isolation in preparation for missions to Mars and the moon. The research is being done to study the effects of isolation and confinement as participants work to complete simulated space missions. after being stuck at home for the past 3 months I think I'll pass :) I could do it alone. But if you put me in there with seven other people.....Lmao. I'd break em. Again isn't the population of the world that been self isolating a big enough subject pool?

SpaceX's first astronaut launch breaking new ground for styleThe first astronauts launched by SpaceX are breaking new ground for style with hip spacesuits, gull-wing Teslas and a sleek rocketship -- all of it white with black trim. We need to start asking those in charge ,if most Covid cases are mild/assymptomatic and majority of deaths are in care homes, why all the extra public health measures, social distancing , ppe and vaccine propaganda? Ask about herd and natural immunity vs vaccine immunity? They look rediculous. Too much hollywood Hype and marketing around this space launch. Could Be bad Karma.

Furloughed workers with COVID-19 fears can't just stay home and collect CERB - Macleans.caIf you have been temporarily laid off because of COVID19 and your boss asks you to go back to work and you say no, then you’re essentially quitting your job Who doesn’t want to go back to work? Being concerned about contracting COVID-19 doesn’t not necessarily equal not wanting to go back to work and continuing to collect $2000 per month from the government. It equals being concerned about contracting the virus. See the difference? The lockdown was supposed to buy time to establish a system of testing and contact tracing for infected. Instead they exposed the 'essential,' laid off thousands, and now if workers refuse to go back to work and risk infection, they'll be 'quitting' and ineligible for UI. shame General Strike Now! Workers should not have to choose between life and a job. If anything shows us that capitalism is a complete failure it is the policy to herd people back to work in the face of a pandemic. Capitalists can't stand the cost of doing business. General Strike now!
