N.L. Sports Notepad: Travis Crickard is heading back to Team Canada bench

As the snow continues to disappear, winter sports will soon start to give way to the sports that come along with a warmer climate.Crickard going international ... again

Previously, Crickard won gold with Canada’s under-18 team in 2021 as a video coach. He also served as a video coach with Canada’s under-17 team which brought home a silver medal in 2016. MacDonald brings an impressive resume to the team. Along with being an assistant with last year’s squad, she was also been an assistant coach with the province’s entry at the 2023 Canada Winter Games.

On April 25, the QMJHL Cup will get underway featuring 120 of the top 15-year-old players from Quebec and the Atlantic provinces. The event runs until April 27 and is being held at the Centre d’excellence Sports Rousseau in Boisbriand, Que. On many occasions this season, Dyke was trying to stop Percy and the East Coast Blizzard. Percy, a Torbay native, wrapped up his season with 16 goals and 37 points with the Blizzard. He was also named the league’s rookie of the year.
