Multiple nyknicks and memgrizz players were handed punishments by the NBA following an altercation that took place on Wednesday.

‘ Jaren Jackson Jr. and Marko Guduric have each been suspended one game following an altercation that took place on Wednesday, the NBA has announced.

In addition, the NBA announced that New York’s Marcus Morris has been fined $35,000 and Memphis’ Jae Crowder has been fined $25,000 for their role in the altercation. With 48.1 seconds remaining in a Grizzlies blowout win, Payton took exception to Crowder stealing an inbounds pass and attempting to shoot the ball. As the latter rose into the air, Payton shoved him forcefully to the ground, causing a team-wide scuffle.

Payton was subsequently assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 and ejected from the game, whereafter he made inappropriate post-game comments that factored into his suspension.Morris was given the same punishment, though his fine is greater than Crowder’s because of theGuduric and Jackson Jr.’s suspensions are due to the two leaving the bench during the altercation.

The two Grizzlies players will serve their suspensions on Friday in New Orleans. Payton will serve his suspension Saturday when the Knicks visit the Indiana.
