The more than two hour long footage of the interview with the alleged victim shows the male officer questioning the unidentified young woman after she reported a sexual assault while in the care of British Columbia's child welfare system, according to APTN News. "Obviously this line of questioning was appalling and insensitive to the young woman who was coming forward with her story," Scheer said.
This is just another sickening example of why women don’t report this kind of crime against them. This officer should be fired immediately and then change the method of investigation. This is the most degrading thing I have ever seen.
This is what police do. I will never speak to a cop without a lawyer even if I witness something that can help them. It should be law that a lawyer be present when being interrogated. No lawyer, no talking.
