MPs brace for fierce debate as Liberals table Emergencies Act declaration in Commons. cdnpoli

The government was required to table its declaration in the House of Commons and the Senate within seven sitting days of its introduction.

Until any amendments are made, the act will be in effect exactly as proposed by the Liberal government. Speaking at a Wednesday news conference, Justice Minister and Attorney General David Lametti said "Canadians expect and deserve nothing less" than a full debate by their elected officials. "This is not the right tool," said Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet. "The federal government wanted to hide its failure behind a far too strong law."

'It's becoming harder and harder to know when public health stops and where politics begins, It's time to stop dividing Canadians and pitting one part of the population against another.'Liberal MP Joël Lightbound say

Why isn't anybody asking why the Emergencies Act was introduces several decades ago. WHY? Because while Elitists were bringing replacement migration, this law was secretly created to squash any rebellion.

Convoy supporters when trying to get served in restaurants:

Gonna be fun watching Queen B.... getting all worked up

I doubt there will be debate....just a bunch of booing and hissing and other childishness. It’s shameful that yelling and name calling replace real and thoughtful debate.

its time for the Liberal party to stop this madman!! where is Martin? where is Chretien? how can Canadians who love this country stand by and watch Trudeau destroy it

They have to lock arms together against this American right wing threat

acoyne THIS IS LIKE A SCHOOL YARD FIGHT. NOBODY WANTS TO GET IN TROUBLE. FFS MOVE IN THE ARMY AND END THIS. KING IS LEAVING. ARREST HIM BEFORE HE DISAPPEARS.

They could table changing the toilet paper in parliament and it would be a FIERCE debate lol

Warnings, court injunctions, Ottawa declares state of emergency, Ontario declares state of emergency, more warnings, Feds invoke Emergencies Act, more warnings... Maybe try an angry Mom voice!

The world is watching. If we can't clear the occupation out of our capital city after 3 weeks, how could we possibly handle an invasion or attack?

From the Anarchist playbook: “as the bulls move in, wreck everything you can”. Watch for overturned privies. If trucks move out on their own, watch for wrecked street signs, lamp posts, fire plugs, sideswiped vehicles on the route out, crushed paper vendors, etc.

Don't they know that poll after poll shows a big majority want this over whatever it takes

acoyne CPC_HQ shouldn’t even show up as they refuse to defend our democracy. A’ho! 🪶😡🇨🇦👇🏽

Remember 6 weeks of blockaded rail lines, transport ships sitting idle off the port? Not once was the emergency measures act even talked about. Such hypocrisy, Liberals and their media puppet cbc
