Hundreds of young hockey players from Mount Pearl spent this past weekend off the ice and into the community to raise money for local food banks.
Young athletes, coaches, team staff and volunteers spent the day raising money throughout the metro area. John Bennett, treasurer with Mount Pearl Minor Hockey, says it’s important to involve youth in fundraising efforts such as the #HockeyWithHeart campaign.
