Mother, father and son killed in head-on crash near Peterborough, Ont. identified

Family told CTV News Toronto three of the people killed in the crash were Stefphanie MacHart, Jon MacHart, and their 18-year-old son Riddick MacHart.

Their 14-year-old daughter Rowghan MacHart was seriously injured in the crash and was airlifted to The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto in critical condition, family says.According to Ontario Provincial Police, the crash happened on Principal Debbie Callahan on Wednesday said it is"with profound sadness" they announce death of a student and staff member from the MacHart family.

Stefphanie MacHart, Rowghan MacHart Jon MacHart, and Riddick MacHart are seen in this undated photo. "You may have heard about a serious vehicle collision just east of Peterborough," Callahan wrote in the letter."We have learned that an entire family, the MacHart family, has been deeply impacted by this terrible accident, including the death of a student at our school and both parents, one of whom is also a Thomas A Stewart staff member. Another family member was involved, also a student at our school, and they were airlifted to hospital.
