Finance Minister Siobhan Coady gave the update this morning. She says 96 per cent of the payments has gone out. The $500 payments are a one-time boost to help people cope with the rising cost of essentials such as food and fuel.

Well I still know people who are low income that still haven't received the cheque. The ones who don't need it right away got it, everyone deserves it but priority should come first.

I still haven’t got mine and spoke to Dept of Finance yesterday will be processed next weeks. If it based on income I should have had mine by now, I don’t fall in the 4% remaining to get their cheques if it’s for people making up to $100,000/year. Something is not adding up.
