Toronto FC went unscathed in Tuesday's MLS expansion draft while the Montreal Impact traded away fullback Daniel Lovitz as Inter Miami CF and Nashville SC stocked their roster.

"The GAM and TAM, as well as the international roster spot, will give us more flexibility for 2020," Montreal sporting director Olivier Renard said in a statement.Having won a coin flip, Miami opened the draft by taking New York City FC left back Ben Sweat, a Florida native and U.S. international who has more than 70 MLS starts under his belt.

Miami also acquired the third overall pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft from FC Cincinnati in exchange for $150,000 in general allocation money. Miami already holds the first overall pick in the draft. Nashville then traded for Sporting Kansas City 'keeper Adrian Zendejas in exchange for $125,000 in targeted allocation money, $50,000 in general allocation money and a 2020 international roster spot.
