In a year like no other, MLS's Decision Day is different, too. Points per game will be used to determine who qualifies for the post-season – setting up a pivotal weekend for Toronto FC and the Montreal Impact. (via GalindoPW)

Toronto FC could claim its second Supporters’ Shield title, but it is deadlocked on 44 points with the Philadelphia Union, who take on the New England Revolution.

Both teams come into Decision Day with slightly differing form. Toronto has two wins, a draw and two defeats in the last six games while Philadelphia only has one loss over that same span. That is partially down to TFC’s injuries. All of Pablo Piatti, Marky Delgado and Justin Morrow have missed recent matches along with Jozy Altidore, although the exploits of Ayo Akinola have significantly softened that blow.

In fact, Akinola’s return to the lineup against Inter Miami on Nov. 1 helped TFC come from behind to win 2-1, with the young forward scoring the equalizer. The 20-year-old is the team’s runaway leader in combined non-penalty xG and , and has nine goals in 14 appearances in 2020. When he starts, there’s a stronger chance of a TFC victory.

GalindoPW Time to get rid of Jozy & let Akinola play. Open that DP slot for someone that can stay healthy & make TFC & powerhouse again. Bring back Seba & release Jozy
