MLB to investigate Turner's actions during World Series celebration. MORE:

In a statement, the league says Turner was separated from everyone on the Dodgers, but returned to the field during the championship celebration and refused to leave when he was asked to by MLB officials.

“Immediately upon receiving notice from the laboratory of a positive test, protocols were triggered, leading to the removal of Justin Turner from last night’s game. Turner was placed into isolation for the safety of those around him. However, following the Dodgers’ victory, it is clear that Turner chose to disregard the agreed-upon joint protocols and the instructions he was given regarding the safety and protection of others.

“The Commissioner’s Office is beginning a full investigation into this matter and will consult with the Players Association within the parameters of the joint 2020 Operations Manual.” The league also says that nasal swabs were conducted on the Dodgers’ travelling party on Tuesday and that both the Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays were tested again on Wednesday. Both team’s travel back to their homes will be determined after it is approved by the appropriate authorities.

Turner was pulled from Game 6 in the eighth inning after Los Angeles learned of his positive COVID-19 test.

Either pull him before the game or let him finish it. Odds are he spread the virus more during his 8 innings that he was part of vs the 30 min on field after.

He was on the field the entire game, up to bat, in the dugout and likely in the dressing room before the game. Read he tested positive the day before the game to. This is all stupid, anyone he was near after the game he was either before or during the game as well.

Watch him get a bigger punishment then the Astros

What's to investigate? It will be a slap on the wrist anyway

MLB Commissioner's Office investigating- Like they did when the astros and RedSox cheated? MLB lacks any credibility when it comes to setting standards at the WorldSeries What Turner did was wrong but understandable. Let his teammates and organization set the penalty.

Tougie24 dont know if you saw this yet. but i want to know, was there any action done towards Tampa? Cause i think there should be! but that's just me.

MLB should STFU until they explain why every team in MLB allowed players to spit all over the place, wear the mask on their neck, or under their nose or dangling from one ear.
