Indigenous Minster Marc Miller says he’s ‘outraged’ about recent events, in response to a question about what he’d say to Indigenous people who don’t feel safe when police show up. Read more here:

Miller says Canada needs a reckoning because there is a pattern of police violence against First Nations, Metis and Inuit people that continues to repeat itself.

Miller says he "watched in disgust" a graphic video of an RCMP officer in Nunavut ramming the door of his car into an Inuk man walking along the road in Kinngait Monday evening. And Miller says he does not understand how police sent to check on the well-being of 26-year-old Chantel Moore in Edmundston, N.B., Thursday ended up shooting and killing her.

Miller says he has seen firsthand the physical reaction of fear Indigenous people have when they encounter police, a fear he has never felt himself as a white man and a fear nobody should have. He says full investigations are needed and answers must come quickly on the specific events but that Canada as a country needs to take a hard look at why this is happening.

It's called an investigation, and one happens every time something like this gets exposed, Minister. Take a Valium.

hahahahahaha....ok ..thanks for the bottled water asshole

Isn't it funny how these huge violent protests are going on and all of the sudden the Corona bs story has vanished from mainstream 🤣🤣🤣🤣what happened to social distancing 🖕🖕🖕🖕 liar and pathetic reporters thank god people are awakening

I think that he should not be suppressing the news about his own Liberal party MPs being arrested first rather than grandstanding.

Way to hijack a movement. Is it just me or is everything somehow linked to natives as an attention grab lately!

They have their own police force. They have almost complete autonomy with very little checks and balances

🥱

Boo hoo boo hoo boo hoo snowflakes

Why not an indigenous person as indigenous minister? This is why things are not going so well. Mixing a got with sheeps

Something tells me it doesn't take much for Marc and the rest of his incompetent cabinet to be 'outraged'. Maybe Canadians need to raise the bar a bit on their conduct? Nobody gets taken to the ground when complying. Easy to blame the cops, white people, someone else.

Outrage it great. Discussion is good. Without action both are worthless. It’s time Canada took action on this issue. Mark & Justin what is the next action? canpoli IndigenousLivesMatter wemustdobetter timeforaction

Min_IndServ Then what are you going to do about it? Anything?

Recent events = people only now paying attention

If I can get to Ottawa can I gain refuse in their embassy claiming political asylum? Or maybe we can get 1,000's of people to do this at the same time and create a mass exodus from Canada, or at least make it look good and it would make the turd look bad. Will Trudeau be wearing his blackface?
