The Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Centre in downtown Halifax is getting $4 million from the federal government toward building a new home. Bernard said she came to the city with $20 in her pocket 27 years ago and went from being a client to the triage manager for the centre. She said she's excited for the day the centre gets a permanent home.

more federal money for the indians. where have the millions and millions if not billions of federal money gone over the years? why do the indians always need more money? why can't they use their own for a change?
