“Errors in leadership must be seen in the context of a truly unprecedented event in size, duration, and complexity,” Rouleau wrote. Rouleau acknowledged “substantial resistance” to Sloly’s original appointment as chief — which he framed as an “agent of change” to address ongoing concerns of institutional racism and misogyny in the city’s police service, and a lack of public trust.Article content

“His actions, however well-intentioned, undermined the chain of command, caused confusion, and left subordinates and integrated partners such as the OPP and the RCMP confused as to the extent to which Chief Sloly had to approve decisions or sign off on plans,” Rouleau wrote.

She also testified to the pressure being put upon Ottawa by the White House over blockades of the Ambassador Bridge.

You won't see this scathing report on MSM in Canada...that would be too much to ask, only report the NDP/liberal propaganda 😢🇨🇦

Lets not forget that judge Rouleau worked for the liberal party for a number of years. And that Trudeau appointed him to this current roll. Biased?

Love the part the says about the media ' amplify certain aspects of the protest and its participants — at the cost of balance and fairness'. So true, especially CBC and Global news.

Totally justified

“I expect that the prime minister was intending to refer to...' Assumptions to covers Trudeau's ass. Convenient.

'Fascists achieve power by creating parallel institutions --schools, universities, media platforms and paramilitary forces-- and seizing the organs of internal security and the judiciary. They deform the law, including electoral law, to serve their ends' Chris Hedges

Canadians should read the report themselves and not have it filtered for them by the National Post.

A broken government? Pretty much but the media will polish this bad precedent.

missed opportunity for redemption

Freeland’s justification was cartoonish. In 50 years they’ll still be saying Canada freezes bank accounts. Not good thing to attract international capital.
