After losing his seat in Parliament after leaving the federal Conservatives to create and lead the People’s Party of Canada, and with his party failing to win any seats, garnering less than two per cent of the popular vote in last month’s election, Bernier is undaunted. He told the National Post he sticking around as leader, he intends for his party to stick around, and he intends to compete again in the next election. He may even run before then, if there’s a byelection in the coming years.
His party, which managed to run hundreds of candidates across the country, stuck to fairly traditional policies mixing some populism with free enterprise ideals that have been successful in other countries, and, even recycle some older ideas from the now defunct Reform party. He points out that Quebec has long debated appropriate levels of immigration. There is nothing bigoted about it, he insists; the rest of Canada just needs to get used to talking about it.

They just fired up fund raising today. 😂😂😂. I want to know who funded the party. Will they ever release financial statements?
Bad news. Lets hope Max changes his mind and sells insurance instead.
No one cares. The voters soundly rejected this fool and his fringe groupies!
He sounds like a Conservative.
I would have voted for you but not after your statement on Alberta wanting to separate. If you’re getting screwed why wouldn’t you want to separate and take you oil with you. Why share with others who don’t appreciate your efforts?
Running for the bloc is he
Max is the PonziPartyOfCanada He is irrelevant.
Not in Alberta hes not! The last thing we need is another French position that talks out of the side of his face
MaximeBernier was never the smartest in the room. Proves it yet again
Was the regret not releasing his book 'My Vision for Canada'? I could never understand why he would keep that from voters.
Oh please....
I guess the message the voters sent him didn't resonate with him. Alberta doesn’t want or need him and Quebec is about to deport him.
Say.........what!!!?
Is it losing?
