The dallasmavs will retire No. 24 as a tribute to Kobe Bryant, the team announced Sunday.

Bryant passed away on Sunday, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others, in a helicopter crash near Calabasas, California. He was 41.

“We are shocked and saddened by the devastating news of the passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna,” said Cuban in a statement. “Kobe’s legacy transcends basketball, and our organization has decided that the number 24 will never again be worn by a Dallas Maverick.”Damn.
