The Capital Regional District seems to have kicked up a figurative hornets' nest after it unveiled its new regional park sign designs on social media.

The new signs have already been installed at the main entrances of Elk and Beaver Lakes, and construction is underway at Thetis Lake Regional Park.

When a photo of the new sign was shared on social media Wednesday, pushback from local residents was swift. "We’re seeing comments about the change in look and feel of the new park signage," said the CRD on Wednesday evening.
