The Maple Leafs have signed the KHL's top-scoring defenceman, Mikko Lehtonen.

TORONTO — In an uncertain economy, the Maple Leafs have found a cost-controlled addition for their blue line.

The 26-year-old, left-shot defenceman was considered the top defenceman in the KHL this season — finishing sixth overall in league scoring with 49 points in 60 games for Jokerit Helsinki.

Wow, opposing fans are so upset over this. LOL. Hab fans had him in their lineup already.

Can he play DEFENCE

Poor guy

The next philp larsen

Living in their heads rent free💙🤍

Let’s Go!!!!!!

Poor guy

Is he another defenseman who can't actually play defense? If so, he'll fit in perfectly with the Leafs.

Good signing. Unfortunate for him though. Toronto is where players go to die.

Thus ends his career in pro hockey. No one hasa good career in the NHL afree playing in Toronto. What a waste.

I say bring the jerseys too!

If the season resumed, would he be eligible to play?

Right On Really Awesome Signing

Solid pickup for the Leafs, and kyledubas
