Mitch Marner and Rasmus Sandin will return to the Toronto Maple Leafs lineup against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night.

Marner has been out of the lineup since Dec. 3 after suffering a shoulder injury when he collided with Muzzin in practice. An MRI showed that Marner's injury was worse than initially expected and that the club would not rush a return.

Sandin was the victim of a direct knee-on-knee hit from Winnipeg Jets defenceman Neal Pionk on Dec. 5 and needed help off the ice. No structural damage was done to Sandin’s knee, but he needed time for the swelling and bruising to go down. Pionk received a two-game suspension. Toronto has not played since a 5-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers back on Dec. 14. The team was dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with 15 players being placed in protocols, and with eight of the team's games being postponed., and avoid posting profanity, personal attacks or harassment. Its go time boys.

Toronto didn’t skip a beat without Marner...I wonder what kind of defencemen he would pull in via trade? Does he nab a legitimate one, or does his contract limit his value?

Beware hockeyverse the Maple Leafs are back 😤
