The MapleLeafs have activated forward Andreas Johnsson from injured reserve.

After colliding with teammate Kasperi Kapanen, Johnsson was placed on IR on Feb. 16 with a knee injury. He had surgery shortly thereafter.

The news of Johnsson’s activation comes only hours before the Maple Leafs suit up to play a win-or-go-home Game 5 play-in matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston reported that while Johnsson is now immediately eligible to dress for Toronto, there is no confirmation that he will play.have activated Andreas Johnsson off injured reserve.

There's been no confirmation that he's playing — and this would be ahead of schedule following his February knee surgery — but Johnsson is now eligible to dress.
