The victims have been identified as a man, a woman in her late 30s, an 11-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy.

CBC NewsJagdish Baldevbhai Patel , son Dharmik Jagdishkumar Patel, wife and mother Vaishaliben Jagdishkumar Patel and daughter Vihangi Jagdishkumar Patel are shown in a handout photo. Officials in Ottawa say they have confirmed the identities of four Indian nationals whose bodies were found frozen in Manitoba near the Canada-U.S. border last week.

"We apologize for that error, but please understand that the frozen state in which the bodies were found and the clothing worn by the family made the initial confirmation difficult. It is also why the process to confirm the names took an extended period of time," Hill said. Hill said the investigation into the case determined the Patel family arrived in Toronto on Jan. 12 and made their way to the Manitoba community of Emerson around Jan. 18.

Investigators believe the case involved human smuggling and would like to speak to anyone who may have helped or seen the family while they were in Canada.

Canada, the monarchy, and the cost of conceding the CrownA November 2021 survey suggests that 52 per cent of Canadians believe the country should not remain a constitutional monarchy indefinitely, while a quarter of respondents say it should. Support for the monarchy has declined since April 2016, when just 38 per cent opposed it. No purpose to have a sub to read, but to the point, the cost could be 500% of the GDP and it’s worth every last penny to get that useless quiff off the money. Democracy is the rule of many, in contrast to a monarchy is the rule of one. As with any other rule, democracy requires debate and undoubtedly represents a necessary condition for its development and its enduring vigor and prosperity.
