A single-vehicle rollover crash took place on Sunday, March 10 just after 7 p.m. at Highway 16 West and Davis Road.Witnesses reported a man had left the vehicle and walked away with what appeared to be a firearm in his possession.
“Police officers attended the location and located 29- year-old Prince George resident, Dezmon Owens a short distance away,” Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP, said. “A firearm was found on Mr. Owens, who was determined to be in breach of several police- and court-imposed conditions. Mr. Owens was arrested and held in-custody until he could appear in court.- Unauthorized possession of a firearm- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to orderOwens will remain in custody until his next court appearance. There were no reported injuries during the incident.
