\u0027The school resource officer ... went straight to the threat, confronted it and dealt with it,\u0027 the sheriff said

The man, identified as Robert Tyler White, 32, of Bunnlevel, North Carolina, was fatally shot on Thursday morning outside of the Walnut Park Elementary School in Gadsden, about 60 miles northeast of Birmingham, local media reported.

“Our primary concern was just making sure that someone who was not authorized to be in our building does not get into it and that our kids are safe,” Reddick told reporters. In Gadsden on Thursday morning, police responded to the school after receiving a call from a resident who reported a suspicious man trying to open several doors to the building and attempting to get into vehicles in the parking lot, Etowah County Sheriff Jonathon Horton told reporters.

No indication the person was armed. We only have the story of the defenders that they acted in self defense. It could have just been a vagrant looking for easy loot.

Shoot a few more of them... maybe they will start thinking it's not a good idea

Hope there was a slow bleed where he had a flash of clarity and realized what a loser he was before voiding his bowels and it fades to black

What a country!

Law enforcement and incompetence are interchangeable when speaking of Uvalde. It’s too bad this Alabaman wasn’t on duty that day in Tejas.

You mean they didn't have a swat team standing in the hallway listening to all the kids get murdered. They must have braver LE in Albama.. than say Texas.
