Man set up hidden camera to catch wife poisoning his drinks

Footage allegedly shows Yue “Emily” Yu, 45, pouring drain cleaner into husband Jack Chen’s hot lemonade in their Irvine, Calif., home on several occasions.

Chen told police he had become sick and suffered serious injuries, accused his wife of poisoning him, before handing over video evidence from a nanny cam he said backed his claim. Chen, who filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage, alleged in a court document that Yu has been abusive towards him and their two children for years.

“When Emily gets frustrated and yells at the children, she’ll commonly use a Chinese phrase that translates to ‘go die!’” according to the document obtained by the“She also says to the children, ‘Your head has a problem,’ ‘Your head is sick,’ ‘Go f*** yourself,’ ‘f****** idiot,’ ‘Stupid a******,’ and ‘Get the f*** out of my way.

Chen accused Yu of spanking their then-three-year-old daughter when she wet the bed, hitting their son when he was two, depriving the kids of sleep if they went to bed earlier than she wanted them to, and punishing them if they showed their father any affection.Yu was arrested last Thursday. While no charges have yet to be filed, Chen was granted a temporary restraining order.
