Man charged with murdering UBC Okanagan security guard

Dante Ognibene-Hebbourn, 22 has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He will appear in court Wednesday.

Harmandeep Kaur, 24, was working as a security guard at the Kelowna campus on Feb. 26 when she was attacked and later died of her injuries.Kaur had moved to Canada in 2015 and was hoping to study to become a paramedic. In a news release Tuesday, RCMP Insp. Beth McAndie said: “This has been a difficult few weeks for the community in the aftermath of the tragic events of Feb. 26.
