‘You lose your job, you lose your livelihood’: NDP will push for reform of Ontario program that has unfairly stripped drivers of their licencesFollowing a Toronto Star/IJB investigation, Ontario’s NDP is pushing for reform of a provincial program that takes drivers off the road based on their alleged health conditions — even in cases where the drivers don’t actually pose any danger. Don’t bother folks. Just membership revenue plea. They can also seize your car and suspend your license based on an unproven speeding allegation. As we know from the past couple of years, safety is usually the justification for gross overreach by the state Govt must balance the need for safer roads with restrictions that take away people's mobility & ability to make a living. Mandatory reporting of conditions that 'may' be dangerous is too vague & restrictive.
